My Singing Monsters Karaoke Frequently Asked Questions
The long FAQ. Every question this wiki has been asked, organized by topic, with honest answers and links to the deeper guides.
This FAQ is the kitchen-sink list. Every question this wiki has been asked, organized by topic, with short answers and links to the deeper guide that explains the reasoning. If you arrived from a search engine and want a one-paragraph answer, you have come to the right place. If you want the philosophy or the troubleshooting steps, follow the link into the relevant guide.
The FAQ is intentionally long. Most game wiki FAQs cut to three or four questions; this one is exhaustive because My Singing Monsters Karaoke is a small toy with many overlapping complaints. Players arriving from the mobile collector, the pitch-slider ecosystem, the rhythm-game ecosystem, and Steam Deck communities all bring different assumptions. The FAQ is the bridge.
Install and platform
What is My Singing Monsters Karaoke? A free Steam rhythm mini-game from Big Blue Bubble where you puppeteer a Monster through a pitch ribbon. Released August 19, 2026.
Where do I download it? Steam app id 4633140. The Links Hub has the direct URL.
Is it free? Yes. The base game is free. Day One Pack is a free DLC that adds Rare Furcorn. Rare Pack is a $1.99 DLC with seven Rares.
Can I play it on Mac? The Steam spec block we copied does not list Mac. Treat Windows as the supported OS.
Can I play it on Linux? Steam lists Windows only. Proton is not a promise on this wiki.
Can I play it on Steam Deck? Yes, but Valve marks it Unsupported. Read the Steam Deck guide for the long version.
What are the system requirements? Windows 10 minimum, Windows 11 recommended, 4 GB RAM, DirectX 11, GTX 650-class GPU, 2 GB disk. The system requirements page has the full list.
Is there a mobile version? Not at launch. Do not sideload an APK that uses this name. The Karaoke vs mobile page is the disambiguation.
Is there a Roblox version? No. Karaoke is a Steam Windows client. There is no Roblox experience, no Roblox codes, no script executor needed.
Gameplay basics
Do I need a microphone? No. The Monster supplies its own voice. You control pitch and timing. There is no mic toggle.
What is the pitch ribbon? A green line down the center of the stage. Notes sit on the line. Slides are continuous, not staircases. Hold when it holds. Travel when it travels.
How do I score points? Steam reviewers said scoring is vague. We will not invent a hidden formula. Practice the ribbon, not a fake star count. The scoring guide has the longer take.
What is Pitch Perfect? A Steam achievement for staying glued to the ribbon. The store highlights it. We will not print a fake percent threshold BBB did not publish.
Can I play with a friend? Not natively. The base app is single-player. Couch turns, Family Sharing, and Steam Remote Play are workarounds. The multiplayer guide explains.
Can I lose? The toy is single-player. There is no game over. You can miss every note and the Monster still sings.
Monsters and characters
How many Monsters are in the game? Eight free launch singers plus Rare Furcorn from Day One Pack plus seven Rares from Rare Pack. That is the confirmed cast. The all-monsters list is the lookup.
Is BBli$zard paid DLC? No. Press and Steam treat BBli$zard as a launch singer. The BBli$zard page is the deep dive.
Who is the easiest singer for beginners? Mammott or Sox. Both have readable vowels. The Monster tier list has the community take.
What is Rare Pack? A $1.99 DLC with seven Rare forms. Steam names Rare Mammott, Rare PomPom, and Rare Sox. The remaining four are not enumerated in the blurb we have.
Will more Monsters be added? Players have asked. Nothing confirmed. The Updates Hub will report on new content.
Codes and DLC
Is there a code redeem box? No. Karaoke has no promo-code field. The Codes Hub explains.
Do mobile MSM codes work here? No. Mobile codes target the collector game and merch shop. The vs mobile page explains the disambiguation.
How do I get Rare Furcorn? Add the free Day One Pack DLC (Steam app id 5021110) to your library. Restart the client. Rare Furcorn appears in the picker.
Are there any other Karaoke DLCs? Steam lists Day One Pack and Rare Pack. If a third DLC ships, the Updates Hub will say so.
Custom songs and Workshop
Is there Steam Workshop? No. Custom songs are local files only. The import guide and the chart checklist explain the manual workflow.
Can I import Trombone Champ charts? Sometimes. Charts made for other pitch games can exceed Karaoke’s note range. Test one file at a time. Read the import guide for the range caveats.
Why are some custom notes impossible? Charts from other pitch games can sit outside Karaoke’s pitch range. That is a file mismatch, not a skill issue.
Where is the official chart database? BBB did not ship a first-party chart store. Use legal packs you choose yourself.
Achievements
How many achievements are there? Steam lists 14. The highlight reel shows 10 named badges. The achievements guide has the list.
Do I need Rare Pack for 100 percent? Not from any official tooltip we can cite. Rare Pack adds faces, not badges.
What is Can’t Get Enough? A Steam achievement that wants you to leave the game for about a week and return. It is a joke about the toy’s short runtime.
What is Pitch Perfect? A Steam achievement for staying glued to the ribbon. Practice official tracks with Mammott or Sox.
Controls and Steam Deck
Does Karaoke have full controller support? DLC copy lists Partial Controller Support. The base-app API snapshot we used does not list a full controller category.
Do I need the PAX flight stick? No. It is a novelty. Keyboard or a simple analog axis is enough for the official setlist.
Is Karaoke Steam Deck Verified? No. Trackers and Deck widgets in August 2026 mark it Unsupported. This wiki will not upgrade that label without a Valve or Steam store change.
How do I fix the loud menu SFX? Lower Windows volume, mute the Steam overlay, or use a headphone inline volume. The sound settings guide is the full list.
Sound and audio
Can I plug in a microphone? The game does not accept microphone input. The Monster supplies its own voice.
Why does my menu click sound louder than the song? Menu SFX ship at a fixed level. Use Windows volume as a workaround.
Why does my imported chart have no audio? The audio file is not next to the chart, antivirus quarantined it, or the importer was pointed at the wrong parent folder.
Will BBB add a menu SFX slider? Players have asked. Nothing is confirmed. The sound settings guide will be updated if Steam news ships it.
Bugs and known issues
Why are there no hit flashes? Missing hit indication is a launch complaint. Watch the ribbon and the Monster, not a sparkle that is not there.
Why is there no difficulty label? Steam reviewers noticed the gap. Pick short official tracks to practice.
Why does the song start before I am ready? Steam reviews mentioned no song-start countdown. We will not invent a timer the launch client does not ship.
Where do I send a crash log? Big Blue Bubble Helpshift, linked from the Links Hub. This wiki cannot receive logs.
The philosophy questions
Is it worth installing? Yes if you like MSM faces and want a free twenty-minute gag. No if you wanted a deep ranked rhythm game. The review has the longer take.
Is it a Trombone Champ clone? The pitch-slider rhyme is obvious and many reviews say so. The voice bank and cartoons are the MSM-specific part.
How long is the game? Short. Steam reviews describe an evening toy. Custom charts extend it; official content does not.
Should I buy Rare Pack? Only if you want more faces. It does not add modes or a better score engine.
