My Singing Monsters Karaoke Known Issues
First-week Steam complaints, labeled as player reports, not as invented patch notes.
This known issues list is a field guide to My Singing Monsters Karaoke’s first Steam week. It is not a leak of BBB’s bug tracker. Every item below showed up in public reviews or store facts. If your problem is not here, try Helpshift from Links Hub instead of assuming we hid a secret.
Presentation and scoring
No crisp hit flash. No difficulty tags on songs. Scoring that several reviewers called vague or barely there. Play by watching the ribbon, as scoring already warns. These are design gaps as much as bugs.
Menu sound effects can stay loud when music and character volume are turned down. Lower Windows volume before you alt-tab into a meeting.
Imports and Workshop
No Steam Workshop. Custom songs are local files. Charts from other pitch games can include notes Karaoke cannot reach. A launch popup used TootTally branding without permission; reviewers said BBB removed the logo after contact. Import still exists. Courtesy still matters. See import custom songs and the checklist.
Hardware
Partial Controller Support on DLC copy. Steam Deck mapping and on-screen keyboard complaints. Valve marks Deck Unsupported. Custom sticks work as a novelty, not as certified arcade hardware. Controls is the input essay. Steam Deck is the handheld map.
Setlist and scope
Official library feels small to fans who wanted every island. Workshop and Shadow Islet were named as absences. Cold Island material was accused of using an older mix. DLC adds faces, not a new campaign. The review is the essay version of that disappointment.
What is not a bug
Missing microphone. Missing online matches. Missing mobile client. Missing redeem codes. Those are product choices. How to Play and Codes Hub cover them.
Can’t Get Enough asking you to take a break is a joke achievement, not a crash loop. See achievements.
How we will update this page
When Steam news fixes an item, we strike it or move it to launch notes as history. We will not mark a rumor as patched. We will not copy mobile MSM issues here.
If Karaoke later adds Workshop, difficulty labels, or a real score meter, this list gets shorter and the Tools Hub gets happier. Until then, expect a cute toy with sharp edges.
If your issue is “the game is too short,” that is scope, already covered in the review. If your issue is “my friend cannot join,” that is single-player, already covered in How to Play. If your issue is “I want diamonds,” that is the collector game, already covered in Codes Hub. Putting those sentences here stops this list from becoming a dumping ground for every franchise feeling.
Reproducible crashes deserve a Steam discussion title with your OS, GPU, and whether DLC is installed. “Game bad” does not help BBB or the next reader. Attach a short clip if the bug is visual. Do not attach cracked exes.
We will keep this page mean and short on purpose. A novel-length complaint list becomes unmaintainable. Each bullet should still be true next month or it should leave.
Report new reproducible crashes to BBB, not to a comment section that cannot ship a build. This wiki can only write the map.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is the missing hit flash a bug or a design choice?
Players experience it as missing feedback. BBB has not published a "working as intended" note. Play the ribbon, not a sparkle.
Will Workshop come later?
Players asked. It is not in the launch client. Watch Steam news and this Updates Hub.
Are Trombone Champ charts guaranteed to work?
No. Range mismatches are a documented complaint. Test one file at a time.
Where do I send a crash log?
Big Blue Bubble Helpshift, linked from the Links Hub. This wiki cannot receive logs.
